About Flat Fee MLS in Kentucky

The Multiple Listing Service or MLS is a real estate marketing system operated by REALTORS® that helps realtors and agents buy or sell properties easily. It’s a powerful tool that contains listings from multiple real estate brokers, property details, and a collection of services to benefit both sellers and buyers. In order to view the list of available homes for sale on the local market, only licensed brokers and agents can help you access the MLS. After listing on the local MLS, your home will be distributed to Realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, and other real estate sites. A Flat Fee MLS, however, is an “a la carte service agreement” where agents ask for a pre-set amount of money to list your property on the local MLS. For Sale By Owners (FSBO)—or sellers who want to directly sell their properties to buyers—choose Flat Fee MLS to save half the commission of their sales price. Most of these Flat Fee MLS offers custom-made packages to help sellers market their homes easier and faster. And instead of the typical 5 to 6% commission, sellers may need to only pay a discounted commission rate all the while enjoying some real estate services and needs when you opt for a custom package
