The Multiple Listing Service, or typically known as MLS, is an electronic comprehensive database of properties for sale, allowing real estate brokers and agents to list homes for sale, browse significant data, and look for clients or buyers. Take note that only state-licensed real estate agents and affiliate professionals can use the property listing system that is typically a geographically-based system. Additionally, your listed home for sale will also be available to buyers in Zillow, Redfin, Trulia, Realtor.com, and most of the famous real estate websites today. Most For Sale By Owner home sellers are looking to save thousands of commissions (typical full-service commission fee of 5 to 6%) and still want to list their properties on their local MLS. Using a Flat Fee MLS service, however, FSBO sellers can now get wide exposure while paying for an upfront pre-set fee with some additional real estate services that some of the FSBO companies provide.
