This historic gem is a must-see. The “Captain Richard Roberts House” was brought to Key West from the Bahamas in 1847 and settled into its current home on one of the best streets in Old Town. It has received numerous Local and State historic preservation awards. The house is divided into living areas on three levels with most interior rooms opening up to generous covered porches that run along both sides of the home. The spacious living room is located on the main level with french doors that look out onto a private deck with spa. Extensive use of local “heart pine” was used in the interior fish, which has weathered the passage of time with charm. The house has recently (2019) updated air conditioning.
