Refund Policy

At Houzeo, we provide the technology to empower both buyers and sellers to manage their journey with confidence. Whether you’re listing a home, searching for one, or looking for a buyer agent, you’re paying for access to premium tools and professional expertise, not a guaranteed outcome.

For Sellers

Houzeo is a flat-fee service. You pay a small flat fee for access to the best marketing and FSBO technology in the industry. In case you’re unhappy with our service, Contact Us to resolve any issue at the earliest. If you’re still dissatisfied, you may request a refund (we charge a non-refundable $50 deposit), provided ALL of the following terms are met:

It has been less than 7 days since you placed your order; AND
You have not signed the Listing Agreement; AND
Your listing is not live on the MLS; AND
You have not been assigned a draft listing.

Refunds are credited only upon email to escalations@houzeo.com. Phone/chat requests without a follow-up email are not processed.

Optional Upgrades: There are no refunds for optional upgrades (e.g., yard signs, lockboxes, etc.) once the order is processed.

What We Guarantee: Your broker will make every effort to enter the listing information you provided into the MLS correctly. Your property will be listed with a minimum of one photo you provided to the agent. Any errors brought to our attention will be corrected as soon as possible.

Additionally, you will get the contact details and communication tools to correct issues on some third-party websites like Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com, and Redfin.

What We Don’t Guarantee that your home will sell. Too many factors beyond our control affect the sale of your home. Many of these factors are determined by you, including pricing, photos, and buyer agent commission offered.

Cancellation: You may cancel your MLS listing at any time via a Change Request (provided there is no pending contract involving a buyer procured by a cooperating broker). Reinstating a cancelled listing may incur a fee depending on local MLS rules. This fee could even be as high as the cost of a new MLS listing.

For Buyers

You can access all Houzeo tools, including IntelliSearch, Houzeo Showings, Houzeo Offers, mortgage calculators, cost of living calculators, etc., for free.

Partner Network: You can choose a buyer agent from Houzeo’s partner network of agents from top brokerages. While we vet all partner agents, these agents are independent professionals. Houzeo is not responsible for the individual conduct, advice, or the overall experience you may have with these third-party agents or their brokerages.
Earnest Money: Any Earnest Money Deposits (EMD) or "Good Faith" funds are governed by your state-specific purchase contract. They are held in escrow by a third-party title company or attorney, not by Houzeo.
Outcome: We do not guarantee that the offer you submit for a property will be accepted by the seller. The outcome depends on market conditions, pricing, and individual negotiations.
