Caribbean House is a midrise, elevator-equipped co-op on Edgewater’s Hudson River edge that contains mostly studios and one-bedroom residences. Built in a traditional mid‑20th-century scale and renovated over time, the boutique block presents a modest marble-finished lobby, tree-lined grounds and a lawn that slopes toward a nearby marina. Units typically feature hardwood flooring, large windows with east- or south-facing exposures, private terraces or balconies, and upgraded kitchens with granite or stone counters and stainless appliances. Bathrooms in many homes have been modernized with marble or travertine tile. The building’s footprint includes a prominent outdoor swimming pool oriented toward the water and skyline views, on-site laundry, assigned outdoor parking and basement storage (waitlist for some storage). Monthly maintenance commonly covers heat, gas, hot water, taxes and parking; cable/internet is billed separately. Management is hands-on with an on-site superintendent; the coop has standard board approval requirements and a minimum downpayment and debt-to-income guidelines. Located at the top of River Road in north Edgewater, the property sits close to bus stops, a ferry shuttle, shops, restaurants and schools, offering a straightforward commute to the George Washington Bridge and New York City.
