352 State St

This is a low-rise, early 20th-century condominium building in Albany’s Center Square, constructed in 1905 and built of brick and stone. The property rises four stories and contains primarily multi-room condominiums often configured as two- to three-bedroom layouts with high ceilings and generous ceiling heights. Architecturally the building reflects period character: hardwood floors, original mantels and decorative fireplaces, picture moldings, crown and tray ceilings, built-in shelving, and oversized windows that provide abundant natural light. Units commonly feature eat-in kitchens with solid-surface or granite counters, kitchen islands in some homes, ceramic tile baths with original-style tubs, multiple closets including walk-ins, and other built-in features. Shared elements include an elevator serving the floors, secure entry, basement coin-operated laundry and bike storage, and exterior decks or private balconies for some units. The homeowners association covers core utilities and exterior maintenance—typically heat, hot water, water and sewer, trash, snow removal and building insurance—while parking is generally off-site or rented. The building’s immediate surroundings place residents within steps of the State Capitol, Washington Park, restaurants, galleries, hospitals, colleges and downtown services, offering a highly walkable urban lifestyle with a blend of historic charm and incremental modern upgrades.
