1117 Leavitt Ave

A low-rise condominium complex built in 1966 and arranged across three stories, this property primarily offers two-bedroom residences with occasional larger combined units. The building’s structure uses flexicore construction and includes an elevator serving all floors. Individual condos feature practical layouts with first-floor bedroom and full-bath options in some units, walk-in closets in master suites, and in-unit or nearby hookups for air-conditioning; kitchens and baths have been updated selectively by owners over time. Common areas include an enclosed lobby, basement-level laundry and storage lockers, and assigned outdoor parking spaces for each unit. Maintenance covers water and garbage; utilities are typically electric heat, resulting in lower heating bills. The exterior reads as a midcentury residential block set within downtown Flossmoor, a short walk to the Metra station, shops, restaurants, library, parks, and local schools. The building enforces rules on rentals in certain sections and maintains a reputation for secure, well-kept common areas and straightforward, commuter-friendly living.
