5 Circuit Rd

A six-story prewar cooperative built in 1927, this midrise presents traditional masonry massing with period details and high-floor plate proportions. Units are primarily two-bedroom layouts and studios reconfigured over time; many preserve original hardwood floors, high or cathedral ceilings, oversized windows and decorative mantels while kitchens and baths show a mix of vintage and renovated finishes such as granite or quartz counters and stainless-steel appliances. Common spaces include an elevator, a staffed superintendent, laundry and storage rooms plus occasional bicycle storage; a mailbox area and modest outdoor grounds with a picnic/BBQ area serve residents. Several apartments feature private balconies with unobstructed views toward Long Island Sound and nearby Glen Island Park. Building systems reference oil heating and multiple assessments have been applied periodically; parking is managed via a waitlist and local garages with some sponsor-paid short-term parking incentives. The property sits a short walk from downtown New Rochelle transit options (bus routes to the Pelham Bay #6 subway and Metro-North connections), beaches, parks, and neighborhood retail, offering a combination of seaside recreation and established urban conveniences.
