Hillmount Condominiums is a mid-century, low-rise condominium building constructed in 1949 and located in Grand Rapids’ Heritage Hill neighborhood. Composed primarily of one- and two-bedroom units, the property blends original period details—built-in cabinetry and high ceilings in some units—with modern updates such as refreshed flooring, new paint, kitchen countertops, and in-unit laundry available in select residences. Common interior features include an elevator, kitchen islands or snack bars in many units, and a shared fitness room and laundry facilities. Outdoor shared spaces center on a rooftop deck with city views, seating and gas grills, plus a landscaped courtyard and sprinkler-managed lawn. Practical building amenities include secured access, assigned interior storage areas in the basement, bike storage, and on-site parking options for some units. The condo association covers utilities such as water, heat and basic internet in the monthly dues and maintains pet-friendly policies allowing dogs and cats with board approval (several listings note two pets or a dog with no weight limit). Located on tree-lined streets within walking distance of Cherry and Wealthy Street corridors and a short ride to downtown, the building supports an urban, walkable lifestyle with nearby restaurants, shops and transit links.
