6500 Schuss Mountain Ln

A mid-1960s ski-resort hotel-condo complex located at the base of Schuss Mountain in Mancelona, Michigan, this lodge-style property combines compact, efficiency-focused units with shared resort infrastructure. The structure reads as a low- to mid-rise lodge rather than a high-rise tower; common unit types are small one- and two-bedroom condo/hotel rooms configured for short-stay use. Interiors often feature vaulted or cathedral ceilings in some units and modest, turn-key finishes that support seasonal occupancy and rental turnover. Shared interior spaces include lobby and circulation areas that connect directly to on-site food-and-beverage venues and rental-management offices. Exterior amenities emphasize active outdoor recreation: sidewalks, on-site tennis courts, and immediate ski-slope access with ski-in/ski-out convenience. The property also provides indoor and outdoor pool facilities and hot tub access through the lodge, plus proximity to golf courses, trails, and local dining. Parking is typical of resort villages (surface parking and short walking routes to units); many units are accessed via stairs and share hotel-style corridors. The complex participates in a managed rental program and permits short-term rentals and pets in many units, creating a mixed-use ownership model that supports both personal getaways and seasonal income. The setting is a resort village atmosphere with easy pedestrian access to restaurants, club facilities, and regional outdoor recreation.
