6531 Schuss Mountain Ln

A low-rise condominium complex built in 1983, located within the Schuss Village portion of Shanty Creek Resort in Mancelona, Michigan. The community is composed primarily of one-bedroom units (with some multi-bedroom townhome-style units present in listings) arranged in tucked, cul-de-sac clusters that back onto a golf course, ponds and resort trails. Architectural character is modest resort vernacular from the early 1980s — pitched roofs, exterior storage closets, private decks or balconies, and outdoor walkways. Interiors commonly feature vaulted or cathedral ceilings, loft or sleeping nooks, sizable walk-in closets, and layouts optimized for efficient, seasonal living; many units include wood-burning fireplaces and are plumbed for stackable laundry. Common exterior elements and grounds support recreation: sidewalks, lawn irrigation, tennis courts, immediate access to cross-country and downhill ski trails, and direct proximity to multiple golf holes. The association covers municipal water and septic plus exterior building maintenance, snow removal, and some lawn care; owners are often responsible for decks and certain window/trim upkeep. Parking is surface-level near units; on-site resort amenities such as pools, restaurants, a pro shop, and a private beach club on nearby Lake Bellaire are within walking distance or a short drive. Pet policies vary by unit but many listings indicate pets are allowed. The setting emphasizes a quiet, nature-oriented resort lifestyle with strong seasonality and frequent short-term rental activity.
