8541 Lotus Ave

A low-rise, midcentury condominium complex built in 1956 and organized over three stories, the property primarily offers one-bedroom residences with a mix of layouts that emphasize efficient use of space. Exterior character is modest and practical, with individual balconies for many units and surface assigned parking; grounds are small and typically landscaped for low maintenance. Interior features across units range from original parquet and hardwood floors to renovated kitchens and bathrooms with granite counters and stainless steel appliances in many residences. Shared building systems include an elevator servicing upper floors, a basement level with storage lockers and coin laundry, and on-site management that maintains common-area cleaning, snow removal, and landscaping. Financially the association typically includes heat and water in assessments and maintains positive reserves in many listings; rental restrictions vary by owner vote but commonly require multi-year owner occupancy before leasing. Pet policies and specific rental rules differ between units, and some listings note prohibition of pets while others allow service or emotional support animals with documentation. The location is highly commuter-friendly, close to Skokie’s downtown, public transit (Yellow Line and nearby Metra), Old Orchard shopping, and highway access, supporting errands and regional travel.
