The Residences at Charles is a single-story, full-service condominium property completed in 1985 and located in the heart of Harvard Square, Cambridge. Architecturally it favors large glass walls and river-facing balconies that frame views of the Charles River, boathouse, and Boston skyline; many units present open, entertaining-oriented floor plans with generous living and dining proportions. Interiors commonly include renovated kitchens, in-unit laundry, built-in shelving and custom storage, multiple closets, and high-end finish details such as crown moldings and hardwood floors. Building-level features emphasize concierge-style living: 24-hour staff, elevator access from the garage, deeded garage parking and private storage, a managed health club/exercise room, and professionally maintained common areas and curated gardens. Outdoor amenities include private balconies, roof decks, landscaped courtyards and terraces that support riverfront sightlines and views during the Head of the Charles. The property’s location places residents steps from Harvard University, public transit (Red Line), restaurants, theaters, parks and shops, blending an urbane, walkable neighborhood lifestyle with secure, service-oriented condominium ownership.
