99 Bank St

A landmarked pre‑war cooperative on a cobblestone West Village street, this seven‑story masonry building dates to the late 19th century and houses primarily studios and two‑bedroom layouts. Floor plans often read loft‑like, with high ceilings, oversized windows that flood units with light, hardwood floors and original pre‑war details blended with periodic modern renovations. Shared spaces emphasize practical conveniences: a part‑time doorman, live‑in superintendent, full‑time porter, recently updated lobby and hallways, central laundry in the basement, bicycle storage and on‑site maintenance. Many apartments feature built‑in storage, walk‑in closets, kitchen islands or breakfast bars, recessed lighting and pantry or galley kitchens; washer/dryer installs are possible with board approval. Exterior amenities are modest and building‑scaled, including small private outdoor areas under 60 sq ft associated with select residences. The co‑op’s governance has supported capital work such as façade restoration and elevator updates; occasional assessments have been levied. Located steps from Hudson River Park, the High Line, the Meatpacking District and a dense array of restaurants, shops and subway lines, the building combines historic character with neighborhood convenience and a pet‑friendly policy.
