The native Whitetail herd was removed prior to restocking with premium South Texas genetics, selected with an emphasis on strong main-frame racks. The original bucks are now four years old, with estimated scores ranging from approximately 150 to 220 inches.

Several of these bucks reportedly scored 170+ inches at only two years old, demonstrating the quality of the genetics established on the ranch.

The current herd includes:

Whitetail: 9 bucks + 11 does estimated 8 fawns
Axis: 6 bucks + 13 does, with an estimated 6 fawns this year
Fallow: 7 bucks + 11 does, estimated 8 fawns this year
Blackbuck: 8 bucks + 15 does, with an estimated 8 fawns this year
Aoudad: Approximately 30, with an estimated 20+ young this year
Hogs, turkey, dove, ducks and a few quail
