About Davie Elementary School

Davie Elementary School traces its start to a two-room wooden schoolhouse, which was followed in 1918 by the two-story Davie School. According to the school, that building is the oldest surviving school building in the county and was the earliest permanent school building in the Everglades. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The school moved into a new building in 1977. It is part of Broward County Public Schools and belongs to the district's Hollywood Hills Innovation Zone. Its mascot is the mustang.
