Navy Green is a mid-rise, 12-story condominium completed in 2015 in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard neighborhood. The 52-unit development was designed by FXFowle and built to LEED standards, combining contemporary materials with large windows and 5–7-inch wide wood floors in individual homes. Units are primarily two-bedroom layouts and many residences include generous storage, high ceilings, and thoughtfully planned kitchens and baths finished with quartz/caesarstone counters, stainless steel appliances, and quality fixtures. Townhouse-style duplexes and multi-level units extend the building’s range with private patios or small gardens that open onto a 30,000-square-foot communal green. Shared interior features include an elevator, a fitness room, a bike room, laundry facilities, package/cold storage, and a staffed superintendent; the building also uses a cloud-based smart intercom/video system. Exterior amenities focus on landscaped communal spaces: a planted courtyard, roof deck with BBQ areas and river/manhattan views, and small private outdoor spaces attached to some units. The project emphasizes sustainability and energy efficiency, with insulated wall construction and energy-efficient systems, and benefits from proximity to transit, the NYC Ferry, Fort Greene Park, and emerging retail and food hubs near the Navy Yard.
