811 Bronx River Rd

River Park Cooperative is a mid-century, six-story cooperative built in 1952 and composed primarily of two-bedroom units and one-bedroom variants arranged around interior corridors. The masonry façade and modest massing reflect postwar suburban apartment design; an elevator serves all floors. Residences commonly feature high ceilings, hardwood or parquet floors, crown molding, formal dining areas or eat-in kitchens, galley layouts with granite or quartz countertops, ample closet storage and windowed kitchens and bathrooms. Building-level conveniences include on-site laundry, assigned parking (often with a small fee), mailbox service and a playground on the grounds. The co-op’s management presents routine updates such as elevator modernization and periodic brick work; heating is oil-fired and maintenance fees commonly factor in utilities and a STAR credit. The location sits steps from the Fleetwood Metro-North station and local retail on Central Avenue, with quick access to Cross County Parkway and nearby shopping centers. The community’s rules have historically limited pets and controlled subletting; the property appeals as a commuter-oriented, well-maintained cooperative in a walkable Bronxville/Fleetwood neighborhood.
