3215 Netherland Ave

This low-rise prewar residential building in the Bronx was completed in 1939 and rises seven stories, primarily composed of one- and two-bedroom residences. Architecturally it reflects traditional prewar proportions with high ceilings, crown moldings, and well-scaled foyers; many units display hardwood inlay floors and classical details around living and dining spaces. Apartment layouts favor generous public rooms—separate dining areas, windowed eat-in kitchens with modernized counters and tile work, and abundant built-in storage and closets. Common areas include a renovated lobby, a rear courtyard/garden with seating, on-site laundry, mailboxes, and limited storage rooms; a live-in superintendent has been noted in multiple listings. Building services include elevator access and building-managed parking with a waitlist; pets are permitted without strict weight limits in several units. The property sits on a tree-lined Riverdale block convenient to Metro-North, express buses, and local transit, placing shops, restaurants, schools, and parks within easy walking distance. Overall the building blends prewar character with ongoing unit-level renovations and practical conveniences for everyday urban family living.
