In 1763, Quaker John Allen sailed by sloop from Dartmouth, Massachusetts up the Hudson River to Lansingburgh before walking north to claim land in White Creek. He and his wife Mary first lived in a log cabin on the property before constructing this remarkable home in 1770 — a home that has stood for over 250 years.
