  • All buyer leads are forwarded to you
  • Available in 50 states

Cons

  • Fizber charges success fees in 4 states
  • You have to invest a lot of your time in manually completing all the paperwork
  • Unpredictable broker quality

Fizber is a real estate website that is popular for its free flat fee MLS listing. However, your home gets listed on Fizber’s website only. Therefore, your property does not get maximum exposure.

Apart from the free listing it also offers three paid packages. However basic items like yard signs, showing services, and contract reviews are absent from the package.

You should know that Fizber's packages vary by state. In some states, they offer more photos and longer listing terms. However, this information is not mentioned on their website.

✍️ Editor's Take: For most home sellers we recommend Houzeo over Fizber. Houzeo discloses all its fees upfront on the pricing page, so there are no hidden fees. Houzeo is ranked #1 amongst America’s best FSBO sites. Compare Fizber vs. Houzeo.

Is Fizber Legit?

Yes, Fizber.com is a legitimate company. It has its headquarters in Ladera Ranch, California. The private company was founded by Evan Gentry in 2006. Since then they have sold thousands of homes.

In the modern world, tech plays a vital role. Although, Fizber has been a major player in the real estate space their technology is quite outdated. As a result, your listing process may be delayed leading to losses.

Fizber.com Coverage

Fizber advertises itself as being nationwide, yet they are not present in all areas. Reviews from certain states mention limited coverage or no active agents with additional closing fees.

However, if you are live in one of these states: Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming you have to pay a 0.5% “success fee” at closing.

Kristen LanterUSASubmitted 2022

Fizber is so corrupt ~ they would not refund my money even though when my listing hit the MLS the photos doubled and tripled and disappeared. They have a disclaimer on their site once you buy that says if your photos dont load email them to us, that is NOT what I paid for I paid to do it myself and also to have control...

❌ Christopher mentioned that Fizber is a scam. He mentioned that the free listing attracts calls from real estate agents who solicit sellers to list on MLS.

ChristopherUSASubmitted 2023

The other reviews are right, Fizber is a scam. If i could 0 stars I would the free listing only attracts a multitude of real estate agents calling you vying for your listing and other scammers trying to by your property for a low wholesale offer, Don't waist your time or money.

  • Expensive à La Carte Services: Services like showing assist, virtual tour link, and open house postings add another $50 to $100 to the package.
  • Unpredictable Broker Quality: You never know which local broker your listing will go to. So, there is a lack of control over the quality or competence of the broker who will be assigned to handle the listing.
  • Manual Paperwork: Fizber listings have manual paperwork, which takes up a lot of your time to get listed on the MLS.
  • Outdated Tech: Their technology is not on par with current industry standards

Other Options You Should Consider

  • Sell to an iBuyer: iBuyers purchase homes needing minimal repairs in as-is condition. They can be a great option if you want to sell your house fast.
  • Sell to Cash Home Buyers: Individual cash home buyers make all-cash offers, usually within 24 to 48 hours. They also let you skip listing on the MLS.
  • Sell For Sale By Owner: For Sale By Owner websites help you list and sell a house yourself, saving thousands in agent commissions. Many FSBO websites will also help you with the paperwork.

Is Fizber Worth it?

The Free Listing offered by Fizber is not recommended because it doesn't get your property on the MLS. Instead you can opt for their Premium MLS Boost package.

In some states, the cost of their package may be reasonable or affordable, making it a good choice. However, in other states, you might find better deals or more cost-effective options for selling your home.

However, they do not offer hands-on assistance to help you secure the best deal. Their a la carte services are also expensive. Additionally, their technology lacks some essential features that you may need in your FSBO journey.

Houzeo offers better value with plans starting at $179 in certain states. The actual cost of the plans may vary widely by state. With Houzeo you get maximum exposure, thousands in commission savings, and stellar customer support.
